Kinda like the mail boxes work. Will the first post your character has in their apartment claim it as theirs? Also, does it have keys? Will the communicator thingie be used as keys to the specific apartment? Like...the very first time you get into your apartment room, your communicator is tuned to that one?

I was actually going to ask about something along these lines. Could we have a thread where all we do is list character names and claimed room numbers or something?

Okay, I suggest all of you who have claimed an apartment, and all those who are planning to do so, edit your first post with a short description in a [/quote] tag of what the apartment looks like. In the topic title, type [####] at the beginning, changing the symbols to numbers. For example, if you've claimed apartment 123, your code is [0123].
I just made this up on the spot so I have no idea if this will work well or not. I'll make a pinned thread on the Apartment Block board for a list of rooms and once everyone has numbered their apartments I'll list them (:
I'll also make a thread in the Information Centre.
