- No godmodding/powerplaying in your posts.
- Do not spam. This includes repeated posts/topics with the exact same content as well as flooding the boards with inappropriate content.
- Literate posts, please! Try to use correct grammar and spelling if you are able. Make good use of a spellchecker if you're underconfident. Try to avoid abbreviations, slang and emoticons.
- Except in the Communicator section. Go nuts if that's IC for you!
- All members reserve the right to 'fade to black' when confronted with scenes of mature content.
- Swearing is allowed. Deaths can (and will) happen.
- Try to keep OOC topics in the related boards.
- Screen-stretching signatures are extremely annoying. If your signature stretches the screen, either stop using that signature or edit it into a text box.
- All of our members are real people in real life, sitting at a computer, typing, being alive, having thoughts and feelings. Doing things to deliberately distress another user, such as throwing a hissy fit in a bid for attention and "LEAVIGN TEH SITE 4EVER!!!11" is fairly stupid, and it gets old when you've been through this sort of thing over and over in the past. You are not the only one to have ever complained about "unfair modz!!1" or "teh ttly ghey sistem!!1". We have worked hard on this site. Mods/admins will deal with flamers and idiots as fairly as they see fit.
- Try to stick to a posting order. For example, it goes - Bob, John, Jane, Bob, John, Jane. A BAD example would be Bob, John, Bob, Jane, Bob, John, Bob... You see, Bob is leaving John and Jane behind, and in each of Bob's post, he is only able to respond to the single post behind him. Bob has less to put in his post, and the quality of his writing takes a dip! Posting in the correct order makes things easier on everyone.
- If there are lots of people in a thread and it's moving along fine without anyone getting confused or left behind, no one will really mind if you break posting order. Use discretion.
- Try not to make things up about our city! You have free reign to play as you like, but if you start making things up about the city it might be drastically different from what we already have planned! Don't worry, we have a lot of good, solid plans laid out for how the city works. If you're missing anything, check the other threads here and see if you can find what you need to know!
If you need some tips on roleplaying, it's probably a good idea to check around the internet for some tutorials. There are some very good ones out there, and even if you think you know a lot about roleplaying, there are always some things you didn't consider - I speak from experience!
