Mali quietly walked on the stone path that seemed to stretch for miles as she nervously glanced around at her surroundings. The buildings that stretched into the sky towered over her menacingly, some casting large shadows over her and the park. The park that was covered with bright green grass and florescent flowers oddly comforted her, even though there was no one but her around. The flowers that grew beside the walkway seemed so fresh, that they almost looked fake, or something she would see in a dream or photo... "Photo!" She thought excitedly.
Without warning, she ran over to a bench and placed her large backpack down, unzipped one of the pouches, and desperately dug around for her beloved camera. Finally, she successfully found her camera and dashed over to a row of flowers that lined the path, and bent down to snap a few pictures.

"Oh god..." clear as day but black as night, "my head..."
Peyton sat up, his head spinning and swimming but somehow still sinking in the darkness behind his eyelids. One eye cracked open painfully, blurred and blinded in the light. The other soon followed, with a little less force and managed to roll around in his head for a second before gaining its senses enough to pick out some colours. He was seeing spots, little floaters of white light dancing in front of his pupils, making him want to shoo some of them away even though he knew he wasn't there. Peyton found his muscles tired, for some reason, shaking at the attempt at him just getting up. Underneath him, the ground felt soft, a little like feathers on the floor from a freshly blown up, goose down pillow. He then realized that he was half-laying on the ground...in grass...surrounded by what looked like roses, deep, deep red roses. The imagary made him scoff, "Pfft, roses...me surrounded by luscious, red roses...what a thought.."

Mali had finished taking the pictures that she needed and stood up, starting to make her way back toward her bag so that she could keep walking. As she drew closer to her bag, she saw a large figure sprawled out on the grass. Squinting to see what it was, she quickly identified it as a human! I real human being! She left her things over on the bench and rushed over to the person with speed. She knelt on the ground and stared at the young man, who was still in a daze. "Hello? Hello are you okay?"

Audi was frustrated with the city. She had a life back....Well, not home, really, but back wherever she had come from, and she'd like to go back, thank you very much. Besides, the information that leaving will probably get you killed had managed to leak through to her, so even though she normally wouldn't leave a city this quickly anyway, being stuck here was putting her on edge. So, she headed to somewhere that at least wasn't as city-like as the rest of it: the park.
Audi had never understood why people made a big deal out of Central Park. It was a patch of green within a city. Big whoop. You go to the midwest and you see a bajillion "central parks." It's called "outside." But here, there was no "outside." This was what you got.
She hadn't gotten very far in when Audi saw a figure she recognized from the un-official "town meeting" thing at the cafe. It was also the girl who had responded to her blog.
"Hey Mali! What's u.............uuhp?" Audi's voiced dipped into a question as she saw what Mali was leaning over - some guy. Some guy that HADN'T been at the cafe. So, he was either new, or possibly drunk/hungover. Possibly all of the above. She nudged the guy gently with her foot. "Hey. You all right?" Sympathetic? Not so much. Reasonable? Audi thought so.

Peyton laid back in the grass a sighed, well this is cool. He had just been dropped into some city, in some park and now he's laying on some bed of roses in some patch of grass that he's pretty sure there's a sign about somewhere that says you're supposed to "Keep Off'. But what is this? Ladies? A small smile wound its way onto his face, no one could ever go wrong with ladies.
Sitting up, he looked over at the first girl, glancing over her quickly before bringing his sights back up to her face, "I'm a little out of it right now," he said over a cool voice, "I wouldn't mind lying here for a bit longer..."
To the second girl, who's foot he almost instinctively snapped off, he tipped his head and layed back down, "Yes," he repeated, a light thud echoing between them when he laid back down on the grass, "if you could give me some idea as to where I am, either of you, that would be nice"

She glanced up at Audi who stood there staring at the man on the ground and smiled. She then directed her attention back at him as she stood up and brushed the grass off of her jeans. Instinctively, she checked to see if her bag was still on the bench; she had gotten her stuff stolen one too many times when she lived in Chicago. But why was she worried about when there was practically no one around? She put her hands on her hips and spoke in a relaxed tone. "Honestly, I don't have any idea. As far as I know, we're in a park in the middle of a city that no one has ever heard of."
Mali yawned and stretched, walking back to the bench to reclaim her things. Looking back at Audi, she smiled once again and pulled out a small package from her bag; a pack of cigarettes to be exact. She opened the pack and pulled a cig out, placing it in her mouth and lighting it with a lighter. "What have you been up to, Audi?"

When the kid on the ground asked where they were, Audi had to glance at Mali for an answer. They knew about the same amount...But out loud? Well, it sounded like some sort of lame prank, didn't it? Oh, we're in this almost-deserted city with a robot and no idea if we'll survive if we try and leave.
Lame sci-fi movie anyone?
But Mali had it covered. "Honestly, I don't have any idea. As far as I know, we're in a park in the middle of a city that no one has ever heard of." Okay...sort of covered. Still sounded like a lame sci-fi movie, but Audi didn't really see any way around that.
Audi watched as Mali light herself a cigarette. Audi would have to remember to pick those up at the store at some point. She wasn't addicted, and didn't use them in times of stress. She kind of...Just smoked. Rather like people chew gum. "What have you been up to, Audi?"
"Eh. You know, checking out the city, seeing what's here. I'm trying to figure out whether I like that robot or not," she explained, the guy completely forgotten. "You?"

The high pitched click of the lighter going off above head made Peyton redirect his attention to the girls above him, the one who first decided to come up and ask if he was okay. A cigarette. At this point, he could totally go for one of those and the answer he was just given about his current whereabouts didn't exactly help him out either. Closing his eyes, his mind whipped up a power point of thing he had just learned in this..roughly..five minutes of waking up on this lawn: 1) He's got a bump on his head the size of half a baseball. 2)Cute girls obviously populate the area. 3)Cigarette...he needs one. 4)These two aren't going to be of much help.
He placed an eye on the other girl, staring at him, then at the other chick, then completely ignoring his existence. Oh yeah, thanks for the foot-nudge, by the way. They then started talking to each other, which sort of implied that he was the odd man out here, almost quite literally, since they had known each other, there must be a few other people.
Peyton recollected his thoughts and will power, directing it all into his barely working muscular system, then in one, fluid movement, rocked up to his feet, passing between the girls on to the pavement. Such a change in direction and position caused a little bit of nausea but he quickly recovered, taking a moment to himself to run over his mental check list of alright things.
Everything was working...everything was there except something extra...in his back pocket, he retrieved a little device that closely related to the cellphone he once had there. Which was odd and...hey...holy crap..."MY PHONE IS MISSING."
Peyton made a frantic gesture then started patting himself down, with the other device in his hand, but couldn't find it anywhere. At the verge of a panic attack, he opened up the electronic and started to browse through it in hopes that something would be there that would help him figure out what happened. He could be all for vague, cute girls and cigarettes in a town with some name he's yet to know but without his phone...
Peyton stumbled a little, holding his hand to his head to try and steady himself, "Oh god...my phone.."

Day 1
Something was digging into her back...a sudden thought rushed through her head 'Why am I lying down, I was on my way to the pub...'. Caitlin slowly opened her eyes and blinked away the bright lights, she was lying on a bench in a park. A little strange, but if she had been drinking, it wouldn't be abnormal; what was unusual was the robot hovering over her. She blinked again, thinking it was a alcohol induced hallucination, but when she reopened her eyes it remained there. Caitlin let out a small scream and jumped behind the bench, pulling her dark red hair in front of herself to make a mock shield.
The robot tilted it's head to the side as if questioning Caitlin's unusual behaviour, the robot then spoke in a slightly mechanical voice "Welcome to the City of the Lost. You can claim a room at the apartment block near here, good day.". The robot then proceeded to wander off, leaving Caitlin in a daze.
Standing up, Caitlin shook her head "what...the...hell? I really must have drank too much, I mean robots? Really?" Caitlin sniggered to herself "Well, I might as well find somewhere to sleep, that bench was really uncomfortable", she stretched out her back pain, before heading in the direction of some tall builings that she assumed were the apartment blocks, ignoring everthing else around her.

Mali rolled her eyes as the man began to panic about his precious phone. She didn't feel much sympathy for him, but still, she wanted to make friends not enemies. "I haven't really been doing too much since I got here. This city isn't quite as big as what I'm used to... Where are you two from anyways?"
Glancing over at Audi, she noticed that she was staring intently at the cigarette in her hand. She smiled as she pulled out another one and offered it to her new friend. "Would you like one?" She held out her box to the man as well, gesturing to him to take one. "And you?"

Audi took a cigarette greatfully. She didn't understand what the big deal about losing the cellphone was, either. She somehow doubted they'd be able to reach anyone outside the area anyway (that seemed to be how things worked around here), so what could he possibly have to lose? Maybe he wanted the pictures?
"Thanks, I owe you one," she responded to Mali. Suddenly, she heard something come from behind them. She turned, and saw a girl headed towards the apartment complex.
"Uh, hey!" Audi called out to her. "You new here?" Like herself, and the guy, and Mali, everyone that popped up here tended to want answers. And though the answers they had weren't very satisfactory, at least they were answers.

Peyton reconfigured himself, snapping his teeth in an attempt to calm himself, "Not a big deal..." he sighed, slipping the other little device into his pocket. "I'll manage. At least I have something.."
He turned back to the girls, recollected after his moment of complete instability, and graciously took one of the girl's offered cigarettes, "Yes, and thank you, love."
Digging into his front pocket, he pulled out a fancifully designed black zippo lighter. Once lit, he proceeded to do what most people do with their zippos and flipped it open and closed, flame-douse-flame-douse. In a barely conscience moment, he nearly snapped his teeth again, which would have ended in him spitting out the precious cigarette, and rude would that have been.
The question she asked then clicked in his mind, "Chicago," he said through a cloud of smoke, "in the Americas, just in case you're from another country. I do a lot of business with foreigners."
In the midst of another drag, the short, half blonde girl was gesticulating to some other girl who just sort of..appeared. Taking the fag from his mouth he raised a brow, snapping his teeth and humming, "How interesting..." he mumbled, looking through the other girl.
So four people just sort of show up in a park, all of them with out any real clue as to where they are and who everyone else is? What kind of show did who ever was running this thing think they were running?
