An incident

Leon aproached Radburn and smiled "You did it~" He then looked at the new person. "I know this may not be the best time to ask but are you alright?" Even if he was shy he was genuinely concerned for him.

[Robot]

The Robot nodded in response to Atsuke and wheeled back off to the tent, dropping the candy floss into a bin on the way. Finally returning, he carried another plastic cup, this time with about half of the contents left. Shaking his arm towards Atsuke, he held it out to him. "Happy to help you citizens! Now you are recovering, and my job is done" It beeped, looking at his bandages and wheeling backwards a few paces.

"Citizens are happy, my job is complete for now, enjoy your time in the city!" It buzzed, it's eyes flashing before it wheeled away out of the fairground.

Atsuke replied to the 2 others ''I am fine now I am down....'' he took the cup from the robot and watched it wheel off ''why are you 2 here actually?'' he asked ''oh...err I am sorry... I am not that good with social shit..... I am Atsuke.... and you 2 are?''

[radburn]

Radburn looked away. "Um, I-I'm Radburn," she mumbled, toying with her dog tags.

"And you may call me Leon" Leon spoke softly, acting rather shy, the balloon bopping back and forth with his movements. "And you are?"

❀ SHE'D ALWAYS LOVED THE CARNIVAL. There was something so festive about the neon teals and mustard yellows catching the overhead fluorescent lights. Something faintly less lonely in a city missing all it's people. Erin trailed a hand across the glass, printing every spiraling line of her fingertips on it's surface. God, the quiet. She was so sick of it. That high pitched whine of silence in her eardrums. Though in comparison, the noises were even worse. The cosy moments before sleep, and then an imaginary scuffle, or creak. A muffled whisper. Movement passing over pavement on the next corner. Her reflection furrowed her forehead at her, as if in warning. She focused on the half-oval of her face instead. Smooth skin, almost olive, a shade too pale from malnutrition. Almond eyes, heavy lidded and dark brown, the color of unprocessed cocoa. Heavy purple bruises of sleeplessness beneath. And everywhere, everywhere the tangled halo of curled dark hair, tumbling just barely past her breasts. "Still pretty." she breathed. Barely.

[/i] She straightened her singlet, tugging it over a jutting hip as she slid back outside into daylight. Shielding her eyes, and straining as they adjusted to the sudden intrusive brightness, she let the familiar feeling of calm wash over her. Her fair-ground. Her home. Still such a child at heart, clinging to her night lights to protect her from the things in the dark. Speaking of, that goddamn familiar whir of mechanics in motion made her stop dead and flatten herself against a stall wall. She slowly slid down, obscuring herself from view. Within fifteen seconds or so, the robot had passed far enough for her to let out that baited breath she'd held tight in her lungs. Tch.[/i] Close. Sure, it probably knew of her existence, or at least guessed it. She still despised it's metallic ass. She'd lost her communicator on her first day in a bizarre twist of fate anyway. Maybe that's why it didn't bother her. Maybe she was just good at hide and go seek. Whatever. Squatting this place felt more at home then anything else did so far, and she didn't want to wreck that.

GETTING[/color][/font][/size] to her feet and brushing the wet grass off her ugg boots, she glared in the entrance way's direction, heading the opposite way as fast as she could. Her heart was still rattling like a tin cup inside her chest, and her breathing came in shallow and sweet. Least to say, she wasn't going to enjoy entertaining the idea of that metal zhopa cycling around while she slept. Chewing her lip, she rounded the corner full stride, only to see three figures, two close together and one standing a small distance from them. She stopped dead. She could have sworn her heart skipped a beat. Her pulse was thrumming in her eardrums and she felt the violent urge to be sick or to burst out laughing, or both. Somehow, instead, she double stepped back into the shadow of the nearest tent, nearly tripping over. People. People, blocking the path to the haunted house which was her home. The pale half moons of her nails dug into the flesh of her palms. Deep. "Breathe, breathe." she chided herself, pressing her lids closed so tightly her eyelashes kissed the tops of her cheeks. They existed. She'd seen them. Real humans. Bandaged humans? God, her imagination was working over time. All these endless weeks (or was it months? shit.) without contact had really unhinged her. The last time she'd met someone they'd gone off to see the rest of the city, maybe find a way out. Get food for her. They didn't come back. God, no one ever did.

''As I said my name is Atsuke, I was roaming the Saguwaii woods and got lost... the somehow woke up in this place with no one around, and this weird computer thing.'' Atsuke looked at the 2 people ''so have you guys been here long? long enough to know stuff about this place?''

[radburn]

Radburn shook her head as she searched in her bag. "No, I'm sorry. I woke up in a bathroom stall about two or three hours ago. I don't know anything about this city, except that there's a little robot running around." She pulled something shiny out of the bag. "And I got this communicator, too. You were texting on yours earlier, weren't you, Leon?"

Leon looked at Radburn. "The communicator? All I found on it was that it's connected to some network or something" His eyes shined a little in curiousity and excitement " A deserted city with robots that we could only wish for, Devices hooked up on an existing network... Someone must have inhabited this place before us!" He perked, scratching the back of his head and grinning shyly. "Ehehehe... Sorry.... I can get carried away sometimes...." He blushed as he looked down.

Atsuke sat down and stared at the ground mumbling something, he looked back up at the 2 and decided to throw his shyness aside ''well what are we sitting around for? this is a fair ground.... we should be having fun.....'' Suddenly his shyness came back and he stared back at the ground ''r-right?''

Surprised by himself Atsuke shifted back a bit and then looked back at Leon and Radburn.

[radburn]

Radburn grinned and pumped her fist in the air. "Right on, Atsu!!! Ooh, I know. Let's go for a ride on the ferris wheel!!!" She laughed at the expression on his face and waved her hands. "No, no, I'm kidding!!! Actually, what I'd love to do is-" She cut herself off when she turned to the haunted house. Something in her gut churned as she looked on at the attraction.

Dark....it might be dark...

Why does that bother me?

She shook her head and smiled again. "Let's go on the bumper cars." She looked to the two boys. "Who will be my first challenger?"

Despite being the shy guy Leon's eyes shone like a little kid "Yeyy~ Let's have fun!!" He perked, laughing a little, putting his hands behind his back and swaying back and forth "I-i'm sorry... Hehe I sorta have an inner child that likes amusement parks...." Leon grinned.

"I hope there's an arcade nearby...." Leon pondered with curiousity.

Atsuke got up his eyes seemed to be filled with amusement ''you know... I am usually rather shy.... but... you guys just make me wanna have fun! so lets go i'll be your first challenger Rad!'' Atsuke stopped for a moment to look at Rad and coughed ''uhm... you dont mind to be called Rad I hope...''

he shifted his foot on the floor rather nervous.

Radburn blinked, then laughed. "Not at all!!! So long as I can call you Atsu!!!" She looked over to where the bumper cars were. "So that's it then. Me and Atsu will face off against each other, and...you were gonna go to the arcade, right, Leon?"

He perked and smiled "No urgent need to~" He giggled lightly "I would much rather be with you two seeing the situation~" Leon smiled with an expression of honesty on his face.
